B is for Barnyard Silliness

12 comments:
Mumu loves climbing things.
The only problem? He's scared of heights.
Silly Mumu climbed a tree! As soon as he got up though, he wanted to get down!
That silly duck is so funny! Puffing up and hissing at me any time I go near her, even if I have grain!
Gold and Silver really wanted some corn! Look at them in perfect sync. They must be practicing for a dance recital.

Duck Eggs and.......

4 comments:
So yesterday, I looked out the kitchen window and saw that Tommi was off her nest. She was in a puddle playing with the other two ducks. I slammed on my mom's big clodhopper boots that are way to big for me. I sprinted as well as I could out to the chicken coop and counted........ 18 duck eggs and 4 chicken eggs! Yup. That many! Pics later I hope!

A is for A Broody Duck

10 comments:
So, this is Tommy. Yes, thats right, Tommy. We thought she was a he.
We don't know how many eggs she has, if they're actually duck eggs or chicken eggs she found. We don't know if they are fertile, because our ducks are not good at that sort of thing.
In the two years that we've had her, she's never shown any signs of being a girl except the drakes trying to mount her. And we thought that they might just be confused. Heehee.

So Busy!

4 comments:
Soccer season is really getting under way! You can tell that's happening when you have a whole calender devoted to your soccer schedule and your sister's soccer schedule. I'm on two teams at the moment, one in the Water Cities league and my dad's team. PJSC. I have three tournaments scheduled and two of my best friends are on the team with me. You should have heard me in the car on the way home from practice on Sunday! I was just blabbing on and on about random things. Like, the decoy duck in my fort, or how you can't eat that decoy duck. Yeah, totally random. I'll probably start posting a little bit less because of how clogged my schedule is, but I'll do my best!

Goaties and Orange Peels

5 comments:
It started out nice, just giving orange peels to nice, sweet goaties.
But then came Uhura! Look at her go! She's trying to squish my sister!
Then they just switched back to their sweet, lovable selves. But we know what really lays beneath the surface....
Then they tried attacking me! How dare they!
What are you talking about? We haven't been trying to squish and/or eat anyone!

Goaties in the Sun!

3 comments:
Tinky was practicing his goat yoga!
Uhura was soaking up the sun.
So was Zoe. But she's black so she had to bask in and out of the shade.
Reach, Uhura! Reach! You can do it! Get that orange peel!
I think Silver sees a good spot to bask.
The goats are loving the sun today.
Goat yoga for Zoe.
Look at Gold, soaking up that sun. Doesn't that look like bliss?

Crayfish!

No comments:
Whee! Look at this thing! My sisters, the neighbor girl and my littlest sister's best friend, found this crayfish in the stream. We also have lots of minnows and baby perch. A couple of years ago we found a snapping turtle and a small catfish.

We haven't been seeing as many ground squirrels or chipmunks this year as we did last year, it probably has to do with Mumu being outside now and because we got a BB Gun that I'm very good at shooting.

In the Woods

A corncob that a naughty Raccoon was probably eating.
Weird tree with a metal post through it.
The telephone pole over the stream that we use as a bridge.

The Cats Have Lost Their Minds

5 comments:
Billie was trying to get into the bathroom while my sister was taking a shower. She couldn't reach, so she tried a different approach.
She was actually able to reach the doorknob this time!
Then she actually got the idea of a doorknob and tried to open it.
Then she gave up.
I got out a string for her to chase and got her to climb a ladder.
Then she sat there and rested for a bit.
Then she started having a yoga class. She calls this Arching Seal.
This is the Bear Hug.
Sully decided to join in.
She just careened in there and got the spotlight on her.
I think Billie was tired, so she didn't care to much. See how Sully is biting that naughty string?
So then she decided to go and smell my brothers shoes. Mmm, stinky, boy, shoe smell.
She loves them.
Aw, they look so sweet together!
