A few days ago, my duck's eggs began to hatch. We have a total of 11 ducklings! They are so adorable. There are 6 grey ones, 2 yellow ones and 3 black ones. Their mom is very protective and will bite you if she feels the need. But it is very hard to not pick them up and cuddle them! My sister and I made an outside pen for them the day before yesterday. It's not super big, and it's only made out of chicken wire. Tommi can fly right over if she wants. But for now, it's perfect for them. Because if Tommi can fly out, she can get back in as well.
The newest duckling just hatched today, it took four days for all 11 ducklings to hatch. We all keep calling them chicks, it's a lot easier than calling them ducklings, I mean out of habit mostly. We almost never have ducklings, but have chicks almost every year.

Here are the new ducklings!
This was last night.
Right here you can see a little black one trying to get out.
Here she popped her head out.
The darkest one is Martha if she's a girl, and Mickey if a boy. The duckling with his head over the gray one is The Ducktor. Like Doctor Who? And Martha is his companion? Ha! I'm brilliant (so is my dad, he came up with Martha)! The gray one is Sally Sparrow and the top yellow one is Rose.

Well, the ducklings have started to arrive!
Only one is out all the way so far, but 4 or 5 more are starting to peep and there are little holes in their shells.
Tommi is a wonderful mom. Quacking and encouraging the other ducklings to make their ways into the world.
The baby is so small! She (he?) fits in the palm of my hand with room to spare.
She peeps all the time and is very cute. I'll have to put a video of her up. Check back later!

It seems, that over night, the forest has sprung into a frenzy of vivid colors.
Everything, once again, is green.
Except the goats of course. I'm not either. Let's put it this way, everything that is meant to be green, is green.
The goats are loving it.
Look at Gold go!
Zoe's foot is popping she's so happy!
My second soccer game is today. We have to go all the way DePere. Bluhg. But yay, I have another soccer game!

Mumu squeezes out from under the garage door.
He runs over to me.
I will be starting a new blog thingy, Mumu Monday! So make sure you check back to enjoy more kitty time!
If you read yesterdays post, you will know that I had a soccer game yesterday.... It was a tie, 1-1! I scored the only goal for our team. It was a pretty good goal too.
And yes, I know I have been posting about Mumu a lot, but I promise to do something on goats soon.

I am able to take so many good pictures of Mumu. He is so photogenic.
He always does something funny for me to capture on my camera.
Announcing field goals for football. He is just so funny!
Sully was enjoying the sun coming in through the window.
Then Dixie wanted some too. She made Sully jump about a foot in the air but then they started sniffing each other.
On a different note, my first soccer game of the outdoor season is today! Wish me luck!

I had a dream last night that Tommi had ducklings. Maybe it'll come true!
You should have heard Silver yelling yesterday! She was being so loud!
I got some nice shots of her wide open mouth.
Right now, it's 7:40 AM and my mom has me listening to The Manhattans, Shining Star. Before this, I was listening to Robert Johns, Sad Eyes. I would much rather listen to Journey or Styx or Prince. But really, it could be a lot worse. Oh now and it's Sailing By Christopher Cross. Good luck with your music choices today!

Lot's of people have been commenting on Tinkerbell's horns.
I must say, they are impressive. He was very happy to pose for me.
I'll post a picture of him tomorrow with a quarter or something taped to his horns so you can actually gage how big they are.
